Russian air defense systems have shot down three Ukrainian MiG-29 and one Su-25 aircraft over the past 24 hours. reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense in its daily report on the progress of the special operation.
Air defense systems shot down three MiG-29s of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov regions, the defense department specified. The Su-25 plane was shot down northwest of Donetsk. Other aircraft weapons were destroyed at the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnitsky region, their number is not specified.
In addition, Russian forces intercepted eight HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and four Uragan MLRS rockets.
Previously the Ministry of Defense reported about four Ukrainian downed planes and one helicopter in the special operation zone. On October 20, the department also stated that the Ukrainian Air Force had already lost 500 aircraft since the beginning of the Russian special operation. The Ministry of Defense then spoke about seven Ukrainian MiG-29s shot down in one day.
