Over the past day, Russian troops carried out offensive operations in the Donetsk and Krasnolimansk directions as part of a special operation in Ukraine, informed the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

So, in the Krasnolimansky direction, the Russian Armed Forces were able to take advantageous positions, destroying more than 80 military personnel, two tanks and three armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian forces tried to counterattack Russian units in the areas of the settlements of Disputed, Kurdyumovka and Maryinka in the DPR, but were defeated.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, as noted in the Ministry of Defense, tried to attack in the direction of Kuzemovka in the LPR in the Kupyansky direction, as well as in the direction of Vladimirovka in the DPR and Novodarovka in Zaporozhye – in the Yuzhnodonets direction.

Russian aviation and artillery hit three depots with ammunition and rocket and artillery weapons in the Zaporozhye region, as well as a temporary deployment point for foreign mercenaries near Ilyichivka in the Kharkiv region.

Earlier today, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that under the control of the Russian Armed Forces in the DPR have crossed settlements Mayorsk, Pavlovka, Opytnoe, Andreevka, Belogorovka Yuzhnaya and Kurdyumovka. Losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for November, according to him, amounted to more than 8,300 military personnel, 5 aircraft, 10 helicopters, 149 tanks and more than 300 armored combat vehicles.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
