On the night of June 11, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) tried to attack the Black Sea Fleet’s Priazovye ship, which provides security along the routes of the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the southeastern part of the Black Sea. The Armed Forces of Ukraine unsuccessfully tried to attack the Russian ship at about 1:30 am with six maritime fast unmanned boats, the report said.
“In the course of repulsing the attack, all the boats were destroyed by fire from the standard weapons of the Russian ship, 300 km southeast of Sevastopol. There were no casualties. The ship was not damaged, ”said the defense department.
According to the Ministry of Defense, at night, as during other similar attacks, an American RQ-4B Global Hawk drone conducted reconnaissance in the Black Sea.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already made several attempts to attack the Black Sea Fleet. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that on March 23 and April 24, Ukraine tried to attack the bases of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, as well as the civilian infrastructure of Crimea, with unmanned boats. On May 24, it became known that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed three Ukrainian unmanned speedboats that were trying to Attack reconnaissance ship of the Black Sea Fleet “Ivan Khurs”.
