“Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with sea and land-based long-range precision weapons at the decision-making center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” – says in the summary.
The goal of the strike was achieved, the object was hit, the department stressed. Information about the location of the APU object is not given.
In the Kupyansk, Donetsk, Krasnolimansk, Yuzhno-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the Russian army repulsed a total of 20 enemy attacks. In addition, the activities of a group of Ukrainian saboteurs were suppressed in the Kherson direction.
On the night of August 24, the Ukrainian edition of Strana reported that an explosion had occurred on the western outskirts of Kyiv. At the same time, the air alert was not announced in the city. The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. During the hostilities, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation, 462 aircraft, 246 helicopters, more than 6,000 drones and almost 11,500 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been destroyed.
