Russian air defense systems (air defense) destroyed a Ukrainian drone over the territory of the Kursk region, as a result of the suppression of the attack, no one was injured, there was no damage, informed press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The drone was discovered and shot down on Sunday, August 13 at about 11.30 Moscow time.
“An attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation has been thwarted,” the report says.
Around the same time, according to the Ministry of Defense, an aircraft-type UAV was detected and shot down over the territory of the Belgorod Region. There were also no casualties or damage, the Defense Ministry added.
Earlier today at about 4 a.m. in the Belgorod region, air defense also destroyed drone. The authorities of the regions did not report attempts of attacks.
Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response has been set in the Belgorod and Kursk regions. In the regions, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat operates indefinitely.
