The Russian Ministry of Defense signed a contract with the Akhmat volunteer detachment, reported Telegram channel of the defense department.
“As part of the implementation of the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation on determining the procedure for organizing the service activities of volunteer organizations, a contract was signed between the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Akhmat volunteer detachment, trained by the Russian University for Special Purposes,” the message says.
The contract was signed by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces Alexei Kim and Director of the Russian University of Special Forces Adam Dashaev.
June 10 became known on the signing by Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu of an order, according to which volunteer detachments must sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense by July 1, which will give them “the necessary legal status, create unified approaches to organizing comprehensive support and fulfilling their tasks.” The order allows volunteers to enter into individual contracts with either volunteer units or with the Ministry of Defense itself as contracted servicemen.
Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov also said that in 10 days of June there were accepted more than 13,500 people, which is 2.1 times more than for the same number of days in May.
June 1 Russian President Vladimir Putin called Commander of the special forces “Akhmat” Apty Alaudinov. According to the commander, the head of state thoroughly knows the situation and the situation in the Maryinsky direction and “places very high hopes” on the special forces soldiers. In an interview with Zvezda, Alaudinov said that he is now under the control of Russia located 70% of the territory of Maryinka.
