The Ministry of Agriculture proposes to use funds raised under investment quotas for the extraction of aquatic biological resources for the development of rural areas that are part of the coastal regions of Russia, said Minister Dmitry Patrushev during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Patrushev said that the department is updating the infrastructure of the fishing fleet and fish processing within the investment quotas of the first stage.
“In the draft instructions, it is really supposed to send money from the implementation of quotas for the improvement of cities that are located in the coastal regions of the Russian Federation. But if possible, I would once again ask you to look at this wording, we would send this money to the development of rural areas that are part of the coastal subjects of the Russian Federation, ”the minister emphasized (quote according to TASS).
According to the President, this issue requires further consideration. “Let’s carefully consider all these sources, we need to decide so that it does not happen that the nose is pulled out, the tail gets stuck, and vice versa,” the head of state concluded.
