Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said in a nutshell that he would be ready to resign when he runs out of strength to “laugh at people” who want it. This Ukrainian official told the local media.

Prior to this, in January, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fired the heads of five regional administrations in the south, east and center of Ukraine at once, as well as four deputy ministers, including Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov, who is responsible for logistics. Shortly before this, a scandal erupted in Ukraine about the purchase of food for the army at prices several times higher than in retail chains.
In August, Ukrainian media reported that Zelensky was looking for a replacement for the country’s current defense minister, and several possible candidates were also named. However, in mid-August, Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko said that potential candidates for this position voluntarily resigned.
