Answering the question whether the conflict with Russia is coming to a standstill, the minister noted that the “worst-case scenario” was left behind and now the country is on the verge of a “new stage” of hostilities. At the same time, according to Reznikov, Kyiv fears Western countries are tired of the conflict.
“I call it fatigue syndrome, and for me this is one of the main threats. We need to work with her, communicate, interact, ask people to avoid this fatigue. Because it is very, very dangerous for us,” Reznikov said.
Recently, the Ukrainian authorities are increasingly making statements about the fatigue of Western countries from military operations in Ukraine. In June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that some Western countries are looking for an opportunity to ease sanctions against Russia, as they are tired of the consequences of economic restrictions. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba also argued that some Western countries are waiting for the fall of Kyiv in the hope that then “the problem will disappear by itself.”
