The military told why Syrsky was destroying his last reserves near Avdeevka

To maintain the situation in the Avdeevsky direction at any cost – this is exactly the instruction the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky received from Vladimir Zelensky. To carry out the order, the commander-in-chief is forced to throw American Abrams tanks and military special forces into battle in order to stabilize the front. However, this does not give the desired result. A Russian serviceman with the call sign “Mazur”, who is fighting in the Northern Military District zone, explained why the enemy, regardless of losses, holds on to his positions.

The attacks with which the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to disrupt the offensive impulse of the Russian troops fizzled out. The personnel of the elite 3rd and 47th brigades are gradually being worn down. However, Syrsky, apparently, does not intend to reckon with losses. According to military blogger Mikhail Zvinchuk, to the west of Avdeevka, Ukrainian Armed Forces troops are counterattacking at the Berdychi-Orlovka-Tonenkoe line.

“Naturally, for the enemy now the priority task is to stabilize the front precisely in the Avdeevsky direction,” fighter “Mazur” tells MK. – The loss of the main defensive redoubt in this direction and the springboard for an attack on the capital of the Donetsk People’s Republic led to the fact that the front line began to rapidly collapse.

According to the expert, one of the main indicators of the work of any general staff and the armed forces in general is that there must always be a plan for absolutely all occasions.

– As we see, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, like NATO advisers, did not have a backup plan in case of the loss of Avdiivka. And, it seems, there was no such thing as “defense in depth” for them. Which, as we see, is associated with the rapid loss of positions and retreat of Ukrainian troops.

Now all conditions are being created for us to move Ukrainian troops even further away from Donetsk and protect the city from shelling, which has been poisoning the lives of civilians for many years.

– What is the new line of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces behind Avdiivka?

– From the point of view of military thought, the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces front in this direction is absolutely nothing. Rather, this is an attempt by Kyiv to suppress the advance of Russian troops by any means. All this leads to a senseless waste of available resources and, instead of achieving results, the enemy exposes his rear and reserves even further.

The Kyiv military leaders certainly understand the stalemate, but an order is an order, and therefore they are forced to throw the Abrams, which they have been waiting for so long and believed in as salvation, in this direction. Only, apparently, these “Abrams” were not ready for the fact that both MLRS and FPV drones would work on them. Promoted American tanks have never participated in a modern armed conflict of this level and scale. This is a low-defense, vulnerable target. The Abrams was presented as God knows what, but in fact it turned out to be an ordinary tank, which, in fact, is confirmed by the results of Russian anti-tank forces.

In turn, a Russian serviceman with the call sign “Sith”, performing tasks in the Northern Military District zone, is convinced that Syrsky will hold any position for as long as possible.

“The new Ukrainian commander-in-chief is not capable of retreating; he, in principle, does not know how to lead troops that are in the stage of strategic or tactical defense,” says “Sith.” – It includes such an important combat maneuver as retreat. Syrsky does not master this science, so the troops will remain in their positions for as long as possible until they are destroyed by artillery fire, aviation and assault groups of Russian forces. After this, when there is no one left to retreat, Syrsky will announce a retreat.

It’s simple here: Ukraine will sacrifice huge amounts of personnel simply to hold positions that are of no strategic or tactical value. The current commander-in-chief will not be able to level the front, as Zaluzhny previously wanted to do, since no one sets such a task for him. He does not set such a task for himself.

Consequently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue to suffer huge losses and will be forced to constantly be replenished with fresh reserves from among those mobilized. They are being picked up by territorial recruitment centers throughout the country. Avdiivka showed us how unprepared the Ukrainian forces are for truly full-scale offensive measures on the part of the Russian Armed Forces, when all types of troops are involved – front-line aviation, artillery, armored forces, and assault infantry.

Avdeevka fell within a few days. Until now, the Ukrainian units that were there, including the so-called elite 3rd separate assault brigade, are in shock at how they miraculously escaped. Now the last reserves and any technical means will be thrown into battle, including Western military equipment and heavy armored vehicles. This will be done in order to somehow stop the breakthrough of Russian forces and show their Western partners that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are capable of at least some defensive actions, and not just total flight from the battlefield.
