Artillerymen of the Southern Military District (SMD) destroyed a sabotage and reconnaissance group that was trying to cross the Kakhovka reservoir on disguised compartments of a pontoon bridge. “In the Kherson direction, the artillery units of the Southern Military District dealt a blow to a sabotage and reconnaissance group of Ukrainian militants identified by means of intelligence who attempted to force the Dnieper River in the area of ​​the Kakhovka reservoir,” he said.

As a result, “the manpower of the enemy, up to a tactical group,” was destroyed, as well as disguised compartments of the pontoon bridge, on which the servicemen tried to cross the Kakhovka reservoir.

Formerly Acting Governor of Kherson Region Volodymyr Saldo saidthat the Armed Forces of Ukraine have few resources for an attack on the left bank of the Dnieper. According to him, the Russian side is monitoring the transfer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the right bank, therefore, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine begin preparations for crossing the Dnieper, the Russian military “will know about this in advance” and will be ready for this.
