The military court received a case of assassination attempt on Vladimir Solovyov

The Second Western District Military Court received a criminal case against Vasily Strizhakov for preparing an assassination attempt on TV journalist Vladimir Solovyov, should from the court file.

On October 19, the case materials were transferred to judge Oleg Belousov. Strizhakov is accused of attempted murder (Part 1 of Article 30 paragraphs “b”, “e”, “g”, “z” Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), of illegal trafficking (Part 2, Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and the manufacture of weapons (Part 3, Art. 223 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), in illegal trafficking (Part 4, Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and the manufacture of explosives (Part 3, Art. 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) , as well as participation in a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5).

In April 2022, FSB reported, that together with the Investigative Committee (IC) they detained a group of members of the neo-Nazi terrorist organization National Socialism/White Power banned in Russia (“National Socialism/White Power, Power”). According to investigators, they, on instructions from the Security Service of Ukraine, planned the murder of Solovyov. Then it was noted that they were giving confessions. The investigation also thoughtthat they were preparing to attack the general director of MIA Rossiya Segodnya Dmitry Kiselev, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan and some other journalists associated with state media.

In July 2023, the chairman of the insurance company, Alexander Bastrykin, in an interview with RIA Novosti told, that in total there are eight defendants in the criminal case – Andrei Pronsky, Maxim Druzhinin, Vladimir Belyakov, Vladimir Stepanov, Denis Abrarov, Andrei Volkov, Timofey Mokiy and Strizhakov. The investigation of the criminal case has been completed, the accused have become familiar with the materials.

In April 2022, at a meeting regarding the suppression measures, Strizhakov was announcedthat he had already been convicted – in 2004 for selling drugs, in 2010 for attempted murder. Both times the court decided to send him for compulsory treatment, he clarified.
