The military court extended the house arrest of Trepov, who was hiding after the terrorist attack, for six months

The Second Western District Military Court extended the house arrest of Dmitry Kasintsev, who was sheltering Daria Trepova in his apartment, who is accused of murdering military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky, transmits TASS correspondent from court.

The preventive measure against Kasintsev was extended for six months – until April 18, 2024 inclusive.

In October, the Prosecutor General’s Office approved indictment against Kasintsev. He is accused of concealing a particularly serious crime (Part 2 of Article 316 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). October 19 criminal cases of Kasintsev and Trepova arrived to the Second Western District Military Court, on October 20, the materials were transferred to the judge.

Trepova is accused of committing a terrorist attack (Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as of illegally acquiring, storing and carrying explosive devices (Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and forged documents in order to hide another crime (Part 4 of Art. 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The explosion in the Patriot cafe on Universitetskaya embankment in St. Petersburg occurred on April 2, 2023. The explosion killed war correspondent Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin). Another 52 people were injured. According to investigators, Trepova gave Tatarsky a bust filled with explosives. The day after the explosion she was detained. She is now in pre-trial detention until December 2.

After the terrorist attack, Trepova, according to investigators, came to Kasintsev’s apartment. He knew about her involvement in the crime, but hid her until her arrest.

The Investigative Committee (IC) considers the organizer of the terrorist attack to be journalist Roman Popkov (included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists), who corresponded with Trepova on social networks and gave her instructions on preparing for the terrorist attack. He was put on the wanted list. The investigation established that the preparation of terrorist attacks was carried out by persons living on the territory of Ukraine and who did not agree with the conduct of the special operation.
