For the first time since the start of the Russian special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, the meeting of the Ukrainian and Polish presidents was cancelled, reports WydarzeniaPl.
Andrzej Duda and Vladimir Zelensky were supposed to meet during the session of the UN General Assembly. At the same time, the President of Poland said that due to a change in the schedule of the General Assembly, the meeting with Zelensky was excluded from his work schedule. At the same time, Duda did not rule out that the meeting with Zelensky will take place later.
Recently, relations between Kyiv and Warsaw have become significantly more complicated. Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that his country would introduce a ban on the import of Ukrainian grain from midnight on September 16. Ukraine later filed a complaint with the WTO against Poland. At the same time, the press secretary of the Polish government, Piotr Muller, said that Ukraine’s complaint to the WTO “does not make an impression” on Poland. According to Mueller, such complaints from Kyiv will not force Warsaw to abandon the grain embargo.
On Tuesday, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Taras Kaczka said in an interview with Rzeczpospolita that in the coming days, Kiev, in response to the ban on the import of Ukrainian goods, will block the import of some Polish vegetables and fruits – onions, tomatoes, cabbage and apples.
