Politico: Macron’s statement about sending the military to Ukraine only harmed Kyiv
Politico reported that French President Emmanuel Macron’s statement regarding sending NATO troops to Ukraine only harmed the Kyiv regime.
According to the author of the publication, Macron wanted, in his own words, to consolidate the efforts of Western countries to support Kyiv and send a “strong strategic signal” to the Russian Federation.
“If Macron’s statement was meant to serve as a firm warning to Moscow, it failed miserably. In fact, Macron achieved the opposite goal,” the observer noted.
He clarified that the statement by the French President only indicated a split among Ukraine’s allies regarding its further support. The author added that at the moment in Western countries they have already begun to believe much less in Kyiv’s victory.
