US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived on a second unannounced visit to Kyiv, European Pravda reported.
According to the publication, the arrival of the official became known on the morning of September 6.
The fact that Blinken will come to Ukraine was reported by the Ukrainian edition of ZN.ua on the evening of September 5. The US State Department did not comment on this information. Blinken last time visited Kyiv September 8, 2022
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that Kyiv received $100 billion in military aid from the West since February 2022. On August 29, Blinken announced a new $250 million military aid package for Ukraine. The Secretary of State specified that the new package contains funds to help Ukraine on the battlefield, including AIM missiles -9M for air defense, ammunition for highly mobile artillery rocket systems, artillery ammunition of 155 and 105 mm caliber, etc.
Moscow has repeatedly criticized the supply of military aid to Ukraine and pointed to the growing direct and indirect involvement of Western countries in the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the United States is trying to drag out the conflict by supplying weapons to Ukraine.
