The media learned about the plans of the President of Algeria to visit Russia next week

Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboun will visit Russia and stay in the country from 14 to 16 June. About it informed Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper, citing a source.
Tebbun will hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, where the leaders will discuss relations between the two countries “before the signing of a document on a deepened strategic partnership,” the Arab newspaper writes. It is specified that the agreement will supplement the document on strategic partnership of 2001.
The visit of the President of Algeria coincides with the dates of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) – it will be held from 14 to 17 June. The newspaper writes that on the sidelines of the visit, an “Algerian-Russian business forum will be held, in which businessmen and heads of the largest economic companies of both countries will take part.”
At the end of May, following a meeting between Russian presidential adviser Anton Kobyakov and Algerian Ambassador Smail Benamar, it was reported that an Algerian delegation would take part in the forum. “I am sure that the forthcoming participation of the delegation of Algeria in SPIEF will further strengthen Russian-Algerian cooperation in all sectors,” Kobyakov said at the time.
Earlier, Reuters, citing the press service of the government of Kazakhstan wrotethat the President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will not take part in SPIEF. According to the government, Kakhastan will be represented at the forum by two country officials – Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar and Deputy Economy Minister Timur Zhaksylykov.
According to the latest information, the event will be attended by Syrian Finance Minister Kenan Yagi, as well as Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruza – his visit was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov reported that Putin would take part in the forum and speak at the plenary session.
