The media drew attention to Biden’s special attitude towards von der Leyen

US President Joe Biden has a special relationship with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, writes Welt columnist Stephanie Bolzen.
She noted that this was evident at the last EU-US summit. At the same time, according to her, Biden does not indulge the head of the European Council Charles Michel with attention.
Bolzen noted that the head of the EC and the US President call each other “dear Joe” and “Ursula,” and such relationships are alarming. She also emphasized that von der Leyen walked with Biden in the Rose Garden of the White House, while Biden limited his contacts with Michel to a conversation in the Oval Office.
Bolzen pointed out that von der Leyen and Michel arrived at the White House at different times.
Earlier, the German magazine Spiegel reported that the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of the EC, Ursula von der Leyen, staged an absentee skirmish over Ukraine and the struggle for power in the EU.
