Mayor of Novosibirsk Lokot officially left his post
Novosibirsk Mayor Anatoly Lokot officially left his post on Thursday. This was reported in the press center of the city hall.
According to the department, Anatoly Lokot resigned at his own request on January 25, 2024. He was elected by the residents of Novosibirsk in April 2014, and later re-elected in September 2019.
Vice-Mayor Oleg Klemeshov was appointed acting mayor of the city.
Earlier it became known that Lokot, whose powers expire in September of this year, went on leave from December 30, 2023 to January 24, 2024, with subsequent resignation due to a transfer to another job.
