The mayor of Moscow approved the composition of the city government

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin formed a new city government on September 27. Personnel changes did not affect the leadership of the capital. In particular, all seven vice-mayors retained their positions.

In particular, Deputy Mayor – Chief of Staff of the Moscow Government Natalya Sergunina, Alexander Gorbenko (regional security and information policy), Vladimir Efimov (economic policy and property-land relations), Anastasia Rakova (social development), Andrey Bochkarev (urban planning policy and construction ) and Maxim Liksutov (transport and development of the city’s road transport infrastructure).

In addition, Pyotr Biryukov remained in office. He was the first vice-mayor for housing and communal services and landscaping from 2007 to 2010, under Yuri Luzhkov, after which he was responsible for the same issues as Sobyanin’s deputy.

In 2018, changes in the capital’s government were carried out on September 19. Then Rakova, who previously headed the apparatus in the status of first vice-mayor, began to oversee social policy. The position was ceded to her by government “old-timer” Leonid Pechatnikov due to a “transition to another job.” At the same time, Sergunina began to lead the mayor’s office, and Efimov was appointed deputy for economics in her place.

But spot changes, meanwhile, have occurred now. Eg, place Alexander Kibovsky, who has headed the Moscow Department of Culture since 2015, will be replaced by Alexey Fursin (Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city). Fursin will be replaced by his current deputy in the department, Kristina Kostroma.

There will also be rotation among prefects. In particular, Alexey Belyaev, prefect of the North-Eastern Administrative District, who worked in the capital repair department (DKR) until 2017, returns to work at the Moscow City Hall. He will replace Alexey Eliseeva, the current head of the DKR. The place of prefect of the North-Eastern Administrative District will be taken by Alexey Melnikov from the Moscow Housing and Communal Services Department.

In addition, the Department of Natural Resources Management and Environmental Protection (DPIOOS) will now be subordinated directly to the control department headed by Evgeny Danchikov (he is directly supervised by the mayor). This division has not historically been part of the city’s complex.

As a result, the logical thing will happen distribution powers: the task of DPIOOS will be to control the industry under the supervision of Danchikov, and other divisions will focus on improvement tasks. Accordingly, there will be personnel changes in the department’s leadership. Anton Kulbachevsky will be replaced by Yulia Urozhaeva, the current deputy of the control department.

The Moscow mayoral elections took place from September 8 to 10. Sobyanin officially took office at the inauguration ceremony, which took place in the Zaryadye concert hall on September 18.
