The mayor of Donetsk reported the death of a man during shelling

As a result of the shelling of Donetsk, a man was killed. About it informed mayor of the city Alexei Kulemzin in his Telegram channel.

“During the shelling of the Petrovsky district on the street. A Republican man died. Personal data are being established,” he wrote.

Kulemzin has been reporting on the shelling of Donetsk since 20:15 Moscow time. Petrovsky, Kyiv and Kuibyshevsky districts came under fire. In the Petrovsky district, two women born in 1944 and 1972 were wounded. In the same area, roofing, glazing and extensions of private houses were damaged.

A man, born in 1989, suffered in the Kiev region. In the Kuibyshev region, two young people born in 2005 were injured. A direct hit on an apartment building occurred in the Kievsky district, clarified later Kulemzin.

According to him, since 9 am on August 28, Donetsk has been shelled by Ukraine 28 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 124 shells, including 10 cluster munitions, in the direction of Kievsky, Kirovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Petrovsky districts, the mayor added.

Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin in his Telegram channel declaredthat, in addition to Donetsk, Makiivka, Gorlovka and Yasinovatsky district also came under shelling. As a result of the attack, a civilian resident of Gorlovka was killed, two more women were seriously injured. A total of 226 munitions were fired across the territory of the DPR.

The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. In the fall of 2022, following the results of referendums, the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions became part of Russia. On October 19, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, martial law was introduced in the regions. Russian-controlled territories are regularly shelled by Ukraine.
