The leader of the gang that was preparing a terrorist attack in the part of the Russian Guard turned out to be a conscript soldier

He served in the VNG and was from a family of hereditary military

We have become aware of the details of the case of an attempted terrorist attack in one of the units of the Russian Guard stationed in Balashikha near Moscow. Five people were detained in the case of undermining to set fire to army vehicles. As MK managed to find out, the eldest of them is himself a “conscript” of the National Guard troops (VNG). Moreover, he comes from a military family.

According to our information, both parents of the detained 20-year-old Alexander (his name has been changed) are connected with service in law enforcement agencies. His father is the deputy chief of staff of one of the units of the Russian Guard, located in New Moscow, his mother is a telephone operator in one of the units in Balashikha. True, the couple broke up when he was 7 years old. Alexander graduated from college, mastered the IT profession and received a musical education – playing the guitar.

But there is a dark streak in his biography. In December 2021, Alexander already became a defendant in a criminal case. He met on the Web with several young people from the category of disadvantaged. One day, the company went “for a walk” and beat up a migrant: members of the gang stabbed the victim. One can only guess what common interests the young people had. Perhaps they fell under someone’s influence or imbued with some kind of destructive ideology. In that criminal case, Alexander remained in the status of a witness, and the trinity was brought to justice.

Last year, at the beginning of summer, Alexander received a summons. He went to the military registration and enlistment office and ended up in the ODON orchestra in Balashikha. “Conscript” played drums, but some time ago he was unexpectedly transferred to another part.

The last time Alexander called his relatives was three weeks ago. The criminal case of an attempted terrorist attack was a complete surprise for them, the names and surnames of the alleged accomplices are not familiar to the soldier’s relatives.

In total, five people were detained in the case of undermining. Alexander and another young man who is a year younger are suspected of organizing a terrorist community. Alexander’s accomplice is also charged with preparing to commit a terrorist act. Three more, including a 15-year-old teenager, are facing charges of complicity in a terrorist community.

According to investigators, the members of the gang planned to enter the territory of the military unit through a tunnel and commit sabotage there – to set fire to army equipment.
