Lawyer reveals new tactics of scammers to involve teenagers in criminal activities
Fraudsters have mastered a new way of involving teenagers in criminal activities, instructing them to open bank cards for further use in fraud, Honored Lawyer of Russia Ivan Solovyov said in an interview with the Prime agency.
He noted that this scheme is being used more and more actively, and it threatens teenagers with serious responsibility. So, the teenager is invited to open the card and transfer it to a third party, and the reward will be 3-5 thousand rubles. As an option, the teenager himself can cash out the money, receiving a certain percentage from it. Minors are deceived by claiming that they are not in danger.
At the same time, if intent is proven, the victim of fraudulent actions may demand the return of the stolen money from the card owner or his legal representatives, Soloviev noted.
The lawyer also recommended that teenagers be extremely careful when receiving offers to earn money from social networks.
