The lawyer of the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apty Alaudinov, appealed to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, with a request to initiate a case to discredit the Russian army due to publications in one of the Telegram channels. About it reports TASS with reference to the lawyer Denis Shapiro himself.

He noted that he also turned to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov with a request to take control of the situation. The reason for the statement was the publication in one of the Telegram channels of several audio messages, which spoke of an alleged shootout between Akhmat military personnel due to an internal conflict. The lawyer did not specify what kind of resource he was talking about.

According to Shapiro, Alaudinov believes that the fast violates Art. 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (discrediting the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation). The maximum penalty under the article is up to seven years in prison.

Shapiro claims that the published information is fake and discredits the Akhmat special forces, which is part of the Russian Armed Forces. According to him, the audio messages were fabricated “in the interests of the armed forces of Ukraine.”

Volunteer detachment “Akhmat” concluded contract with the Ministry of Defense on June 12 this year. Earlier it became known that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu signed an order for volunteer units to conclude contracts with the Ministry of Defense before July 1. The department explained that this is necessary for legal status and the creation of “unified approaches” when organizing the implementation of tasks by detachments.
