The Kurultai of Bashkiria, at a meeting of the parliament on February 22, adopted a resolution on the submission to the State Duma of a bill that would impose a ban on advertising services for assistance with evasion of military duty.
According to the Speaker of the Parliament, Konstantin Tolkachev, the information space is “filled with aggressive advertising” in which it is offered to help draft dodgers “legally avoid conscription” for money. Advertising such services “actually encourages people to commit an offense,” since evasion of military and alternative civilian service is a criminal offense, and administrative liability is provided for refusing a medical examination.
The deputies of the Kurultai proposed to introduce administrative liability for violation of the law by an advertiser, producer or distributor of advertising and provide for a fine for individuals from 2 thousand to 2.5 thousand rubles, for officials – from 4 thousand to 20 thousand rubles, for legal entities – from 100 thousand to 500 thousand rubles.
As “b” wrote, about the relevant amendments to the federal law “On Advertising”, developed by members of the parliamentary committee of the republic on state building, law and order and judicial issues, it became known in early February. In the State Duma, the bill will be presented by United Russia deputy Rafael Mardanshin.
