Peskov said that the exchange of prisoners should take place “in silence”
Press Secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the exchange of prisoners of war between Moscow and Kiev.
“I would not like to comment on the topic of exchanges in any way. It is quite sensitive, it is a complex painstaking work,” the Kremlin speaker said.
Peskov added that such work should “be carried out in silence.”
Earlier it became known that Russia handed over to Hungary a group of Ukrainian prisoners of war, who are ethnic Hungarians from the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine.
This step caused dissatisfaction in Kyiv. The Ukrainian authorities, in particular, accused Budapest of not allowing the Ukrainian consul to see the released persons.
