The Kremlin promised to draw conclusions on the situation with sabotage in the Bryansk region

The investigation into the terrorist attack in the Bryansk region continues, the Kremlin will draw conclusions based on its results. This statement was made by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“Investigations are underway now. Our security forces are working. First, everything needs to be determined precisely, and conclusions will already be drawn based on the results of the investigation, ”he emphasized, commenting on the possibility of recognizing the Russian Volunteer Corps as a terrorist organization.

Peskov recalled that now a special border regime is in force in the Bryansk region and additional security measures are being taken. He noted that the terrorist attack in the region “will be investigated,” and the authorities will take “measures to prevent similar events in the future.”

On March 2, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced the penetration of a group of Ukrainian saboteurs into the territory of the region. According to him, they opened fire on the car. The attack killed two people and injured another child. Later, the FSB reported that a group of Ukrainian saboteurs was “squeezed out” into the territory of Ukraine, where they were subjected to a massive artillery strike.

Russian President Vladimir Putin named occurred by the terrorist attack. The head of state stressed that the fire was opened on a car with children, the saboteurs saw this and started shooting anyway.

The Russian Volunteer Corps took responsibility for the sabotage. The organization claimed that allegedly on March 2 it crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border and entered the territory of the Bryansk region. After that, human rights activist Alexander Ionov, on behalf of the Public Committee for the Detection of Foreign Interference addressed to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to recognize the formation as a terrorist organization.
