The Kremlin “very positively” assessed the work of the singer Shamana (real name – Yaroslav Dronov).
“You know, the president is very kind to all manifestations of creativity that are related to the NWO. It is gratifying to see that many write poetry, sing songs – this is important for raising the patriotic spirit, ”Peskov said, answering the question whether Russian President Vladimir Putin listens to songs related to the special operation, in particular Shamana.
Yaroslav Dronov is the author of the songs “I am Russian”, “Let’s get up”, “My fight”, “Confession”, etc. In November last year, VTsIOM conducted a survey among 1600 Russians over 18 years old about the best musicians and actors in Russia. According to the results, the citizens of Russia named Oleg Gazmanov the best singer in 2022, Shaman was the second in the list, and Nikolai Baskov was the third.
On July 20 of this year, Canada imposed sanctions against the Minister of Science of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov and the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, the artist Philip Kirkorov, and the director Nikita Mikhalkov. Shaman was also on the sanctions list. According to the Canadian authorities, the restrictions were imposed against cultural figures because they “use their art” in support of a special operation in Ukraine.
Dronov is also included in the Latvian sanctions list. In March, he came under the country’s restrictions along with singer Nadezhda Babkina, TV presenter Lera Kudryavtseva, actors Kirill Kuznetsov, Polina Agureeva and others.
