Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin is aware of the restrictions on transactions of Russian companies and individuals by Turkish banks. According to him, Moscow and Ankara are currently engaged in an active dialogue on these problems.
“It’s clear what caused them. They are caused by unprecedented, undisguised and aggressive pressure exerted, first of all, by US representatives on Turkey and Turkish companies,” Mr. Peskov said during a conference call.
He emphasized that there is an understanding “that such pressure should not interfere with the development of our cooperation and bilateral relations, which is in the interests of the peoples of the two countries.”
