The Kremlin expressed regret about the negotiations between Biden and Zelensky

The negotiations between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky and Joe Biden, caused regret in the Kremlin, since there were no real signs of readiness for peace. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

“So far we can state regret. The fact that neither President Biden nor President Zelensky uttered any words that could be perceived as a potential willingness to heed Russia’s concerns, nor did they utter a single word warning Mr. Zelensky against the barbaric shelling of residential houses in the settlements of Donbass, there were no real calls for peace. Not on camera, as they say, but real,” he said.

Peskov noted that the Kremlin followed the incoming information and the meeting between Biden and Zelensky. According to a Kremlin spokesman, the meeting between the leaders of the United States and Ukraine “indicates that the United States continues the line of de facto and indirectly fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian.”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the United States on his first foreign visit since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine on the eve of December 21, in the evening. Following talks with US President Joe Biden during a joint press conference at the White House, Biden informedthat Zelensky is open to the search for a “just peace” with Russia.
