The Kremlin explained why Putin did not meet with the leader of “United Russia”

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with the leader of the United Russia party Vladimir Vasilyev after his address to the Federal Assembly. This was announced by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

“The meeting with Vasilyev will take place later, until it takes place before the message. But you know that the dialogue with United Russia is of a special nature for the leadership of the country, after all, it is the party in power, the majority,” he said.

According to Peskov, the United Russia agenda is already well known to the president.

Since February 13, Putin has held a series of meetings with leaders of parliamentary factions before addressing the Federal Assembly. In particular, on February 13, Putin met with Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov and LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky. The next day, February 14, he met with the head of A Just Russia – For Truth, Sergei Mironov.
