The Kremlin doubted the involvement of pro-Ukrainian forces in undermining the “Nord Streams”

The Kremlin hardly believes that some pro-Ukrainian forces are behind the Nord Stream bombing, and the simultaneous release of materials in the media speaks of the West’s concern. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“The Anglo-Saxons, whom we talked about from the very beginning, are fussing. They obviously have a lot of embarrassment because of this terrorist attack in relations with the Germans. It is obvious. Peskov stressed that Russia continues to insist on a transparent investigation into the incident on the gas pipelines. He added that this should not be “slowed down,” and called for the identification of the perpetrators and customers of the undermining. Peskov called the terrorist attack against the energy infrastructure a “dangerous precedent.”

Commenting on the rejection of the version of involvement in undermining Russia, a Kremlin spokesman said that “at least some rudiments of reason” remain in the West. Peskov drew attention to the fact that now it is important not to allow attention to be diverted with the help of hypotheses about the “pro-Ukrainian “Doctor Evil”.”

No “Russian trace” was found in the case either.

Later that day, the German newspaper Zeit, citing the German investigation informedthat a Ukrainian ship, on which traces of explosives were found, could be involved in the sabotage.

The day before, March 8, Peskov named publications about blowing up pipelines by “coordinated stuffing in the media.” Earlier today, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev declaredthat the messages are “stupid American propaganda”. He also doubted that a “pro-Ukrainian group” that was not connected either with the West or with Kiev was behind the terrorist attack on the gas pipelines.
