Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the words of the Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov that the annexation of Kharkov would be the best way to stop the shelling of the region.
“This already belongs to the category of issues related to the conduct of the SVO. Therefore, I cannot comment on this in any way, ”Peskov replied to a request to comment on Gladkov’s statement.
Earlier today, Gladkov also said that at least five groups of saboteurs had entered the territory of the Belgorod region since the beginning of the special operation. “We live in conditions of virtual war. Someone likes it, doesn’t like it, but she goes, ”he said.
On May 27, Gladkov spoke of coming under fire in the border town of Shebekino, which has come under frequent fire in recent weeks. Gladkov clarified that during the day the city was subjected to five shellings from Ukraine, as a result one person was killed, three, including two minors, were injured.
On May 22, the Ukrainian DRG penetrated the territory of the region, after which the counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced there. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, over 70 saboteurs and several pieces of equipment were destroyed as a result of the CTO.
In the Belgorod region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger is indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region. The same regime operates in seven other regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
