The recognition of Russia by the Polish Sejm as a state “supporting terrorism, using terrorist measures” is a continuation of the anti-Russian hysteria on the part of Warsaw, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
The Seimas also considered Moscow is responsible for the crash of the Polish Air Force flight in Smolensk in April 2010, as a result of which 96 people died on board, including the President of the Republic, Lech Kaczynski.
“The Polish authorities simply refuse to face the truth, to recognize the realities of the tragic incident. As for the decision of the Seimas, the anti-Russian hysteria continues – this is how we treat this, ”Peskov commented on the decision of the Seimas.
November 23 European Parliament accepted resolution recognizing Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism”. The document, which is advisory in nature and has no legal force, was supported by 494 MEPs, 58 voted against, and 44 abstained. Russia in the document is accused of “delivering strikes on Ukraine in violation of international law.”
