The Kremlin commented on the rumors about the location of the joint headquarters

The Kremlin has no right to disclose the location of the joint headquarters of the military branches involved in the military special operation in Ukraine. So the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov answered the question of a journalist about whether it is true that this headquarters, which the head of state visited on Friday, is located in Rostov-on-Don.

“We did not indicate the location of this headquarters. We have no right to do this. You saw that he was at headquarters. But where it is, we do not say,” he said.

Friday, December 17, Headquarters visited Russian President Vladimir Putin. The head of state got acquainted with the work of the headquarters, heard a report on the progress of the special operation and held a conference and separate meetings with the commanders. The meeting was attended, among other things, by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Commander of the Joint Group of Forces in the area of ​​the NMD General of the Army Sergei Surovikin and Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and First Deputy Minister of Defense Valery Gerasimov.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
