The government of Mikhail Mishustin has demonstrated brilliant results of its work in extremely difficult conditions, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, told reporters.
Peskov noted that the Cabinet had to first deal with the challenges and consequences of the coronavirus pandemic that began in 2020, and then the proxy war that, according to him, the West unleashed against Russia.
“Indeed, the Cabinet of Ministers managed not only to somehow get out of this situation, but to get out brilliantly, maintaining the trajectory of potential growth. Yes, they fell a little, but much less than even our forecasts were. The potential is very good… And I want to remind you that the President has repeatedly evaluated the work of the Cabinet of Ministers. This assessment has always been positive,” Peskov said.
The Kremlin spokesman also pointed out that President Vladimir Putin will continue to hold meetings and meetings via video link “where it is convenient and effective.”
In the fall of 2021, Putin said that the Mishustin government in the acute phase of the pandemic showed themselves “very well”, although many things could have been done more efficiently and in a timely manner.
