Peskov: The Kremlin does not plan to make statements on the tenth anniversary of the Maidan
The Kremlin does not plan to make any statements on the tenth anniversary of the coup d’etat in Ukraine, known as the Maidan. This was announced on Monday, February 19, by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“There will be no statements,” the Kremlin official noted.
He also added that in Russia they do not believe that the anniversary of the Maidan is “an occasion.”
According to the press secretary of the head of state, Moscow gave assessments of what happened “at a variety of levels, including from the president.”
Earlier, the governor of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeniy Balitsky, said that Ukraine ceased to exist after a coup d’état took place in Kyiv in 2014.
He called what happened “mass murders orchestrated by the West.”
