“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actually now experiencing a decrease in the intensity of the use of unmanned aircraft,” says the serviceman. – During the fighting, the enemy initially pinned the lion’s share of his hopes on the use of Turkish Bayraktar drones, which were actually completely withdrawn during the first months of the special operation. Currently, mostly on the battlefield we see either FPV drones or various converted ones, such as “Baba Yaga”. However, despite the already obvious shortage of drones in the ranks of the Ukrainian army, which is noted not only by our soldiers, but also by Ukrainian military leaders themselves, Ukraine continues to systematically engage in misuse and destruction of its drones, sending them to Crimea, Moscow and other areas that are being shelled actually does not give any advantage in tactical terms. For the most part, these attempts are ineffective; our air defense successfully repels attacks, but the losses of Ukrainian drones are catastrophic. And for these purposes they do not use cheap FPVs or “handicrafts”, but normal attack drones.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for the enemy to keep such things secret from Russian intelligence assets. Consequently, setting up production on one’s own territory is fraught with losses for the enemy, up to and including the complete liquidation of these enterprises. As for Western supplies, there is a clear downward trend. The topic of the need to curtail the operation as a whole is increasingly being promoted. Plus, the upcoming political crisis in Ukraine, which is inevitable, also gives rise to certain concerns in terms of injecting additional funds. Nobody wants to invest money in the unknown.

Reducing the number of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Armed Forces of Ukraine will definitely lead to significant changes at the front. Those tasks that were carried out by UAVs, namely the delivery of ammunition through the line of combat contact to rear areas, the destruction of any objects, reconnaissance, will either be leveled out, which will significantly simplify the life of our forces, or they will have to be carried out in some other way. In particular, for such sorties it will be necessary to use the remnants of regular aviation, and this is a completely different cost. I think that soon we will completely control the airspace, and the enemy will have to retreat, since he simply will not be able to continue resisting.
