Between the Pochayna and Taras Shevchenko stations of the Kyiv metro, tunnels are subsiding
Between the Pochayna and Tarasa Shevchenko stations on the blue line of the Kyiv metro there is a subsidence of tunnels, Nikolai Povoroznik, First Deputy Mayor of Kyiv, informed.
“The tunnel is subsiding,” he said. “There will be planned work.” “There are no big problems,” the official assured, calling it a matter of timely inspection, repairs and “maintenance in the work movement.”
Metro management is reportedly planning to organize a “shuttle service” through one tunnel while the second is being repaired. This will make it possible not to completely block metro traffic in this section.
Meanwhile, for the next at least six months, six stations from Teremkov to Demievskaya are also closed on the blue line of the Kyiv metro. The reason is the threat of tunnel collapse.
