Radio “Arutz Sheva” reported that the Israeli army in the city of Huwara bulldozed a pizzeria that published an advertisement that used a photo of an elderly woman kidnapped by Hamas militants.

It is clarified that the catering establishment was located in the West Bank of the Jordan River. Legal advice staff sent a complaint to the IDF about the Eiffel Bakery pizzeria.

The publication added that in their complaint, the lawyers demanded that the Israeli authorities and the army close the establishment, rather than demolish it. However, the IDF thought otherwise and demolished the pizzeria with a bulldozer. The owner of the establishment was detained by law enforcement officers and taken in for questioning.

Some time after the demolition of the building, a message was published on the pizzeria’s social networks in which the owners of the establishment apologized for posting such an advertisement and added that “the photo was not posted with their consent.”
