Employees of the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the illegal activities of the Revival charitable foundation of Vladimir Muntyan (the activities of the foundation are recognized as undesirable in Russia). About it reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
A criminal case was initiated under Parts 2 and 3 of Art. 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (raising funds and organizing the activities of a foreign NGO recognized as undesirable on the territory of Russia). The maximum penalty under this article provides for imprisonment for a term of up to six years.
As part of this criminal case, the activities of the recognized undesirable religious organization “All-Ukrainian Spiritual Center “Renaissance” were also suppressed. According to investigators, both NGOs have been operating illegally in the Moscow and Kirov regions since November 25, 2022.
In November 2022, the Prosecutor General’s Office admitted The activities of these organizations in Russia are undesirable. The department explained that the work of NGOs on the territory of the Russian Federation threatens the constitutional order and security of the country. Later the Ministry of Justice contributed NGO “Vozrozhdenie” Muntyan and “All-Ukrainian Spiritual Center “Vozrozhdenie” are included in the list of undesirable organizations.
