The interest of women in Moscow in “male vacancies” grew by 40% in 2022

In 2022, the number of women applicants in the transport and logistics industry, IT and construction has increased in Moscow. This is evidenced by the data of Avito Rabota, which the radio station cites. “Moscow Speaks”.
The number of women job seekers in the transport and logistics industry has increased by 42% compared to 2021. 54% more often women in Moscow began to consider the profession of a logistician more often. Among the applicants for the position of a logistician, the proportion of women was 56%.
In the field of IT, the number of “female resumes” increased by 36%. In construction, there are 46% more women applicants. Most often, women posted resumes for vacancies of a repairman (+85%), crane operator (+73%), plasterer (+72%), painter (+62%). There were more resumes submitted by women for the vacancies of a plasterer and painter than for other vacancies: 24% and 26% respectively.
At the end of 2022, there was a shortage of both highly qualified and line employees in Russia, follows from the final reports of a number of personnel companies and services. In 2023, according to experts, in order to overcome the shortage of personnel, companies will hire more women and older workers – after partial mobilization, middle-aged men have ceased to be the most preferred candidates in the labor market.
