The IAEA found no traces of mines after inspecting one of the sites at the ZNPP

Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) gained access to a wider area of ​​the perimeter of the Zaporizhzhya NPP cooling pond than previously, and found no signs of mines and explosives. This was announced by the Director General of the organization Rafael Grossi.

“At our request, specialists received additional access to the facility. So far they haven’t found any mines or explosives,” transmits press service of his words.

Grossi noted that now the IAEA needs additional access to the roofs of the 3rd and 4th power units and to part of the station’s engine rooms. He expressed the hope that the experts will be able to get there “in the near future.”
