The Hungarian authorities explained why Budapest will vote against the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

According to Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations, his country has always spoken out against arms supplies to Ukraine. Since the largest Hungarian bank OTP was included by Kiev in the list of “international sponsors of the war”, Hungary will continue to vote against such supplies.
Szijjarto said that they continue to demand that the Ukrainian authorities remove the characterization of the “international sponsor of the war” from OTP and remove it from the list. Until this happens, Hungary will not agree to payments to members of the European Union for the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Szijjarto stressed that the opinion of Moscow, Washington and Brussels is not important for Hungary, as they protect the Hungarian national interests.
