The Investigative Committee opened a case against the head of the Uzbek community Baratov

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported in its Telegram channel that the capital’s central headquarters of the department opened a criminal case under the article “Inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity” against the head of the interregional Uzbek community “Vatandosh” Usman Baratov.

As noted on the department’s Telegram channel, the reason was the posting in December 2023 by Baratov and other persons on a social network of a publication that humiliated the dignity of participants in a special military operation.

Currently, Baratov has been taken to the department of the capital’s Investigative Committee for investigative actions. At the same time, other persons involved in the commission of this crime are now being identified.

Earlier, the heads of the spiritual departments of Muslims in the Russian Federation sharply condemned Baratov for his words about the participants of the SVO and called them unacceptable.
