The head of the ruling party of Germany refused to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine

No country in the world, including Germany, supplies Leopard 1 or Leopard 2 heavy tanks to Ukraine. Lars Klingbeil, co-chairman of the ruling Social Democratic Party of Germany, said this in an interview with RND.
He recalled that the Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the countries of the West have long been de facto belligerents in Ukraine. Therefore, Klingbeil said, it is fundamental for Berlin not to commit unilateral actions in supplying weapons to Ukraine. He also noted that both the leadership of Germany and the politicians of France and the United States are constantly thinking about how not to be drawn into the conflict.
At the same time, the parliamentarian announced the determination of Western countries not to reduce support for Kyiv. And he explained that the supply of infantry fighting vehicles just gives a signal of concerted action by the alliance
Earlier, during telephone conversations, Joe Biden and Olaf Scholz agreed to provide Ukraine with American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and German Marder.
