The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia Alexander Kozlov announced at an extended meeting of the board of the state holding Rosgeologiya that Sergei Radkov, who oversaw the topic of solid minerals in it, will be appointed acting head of the company. He will replace Sergei Gorkov, whose contract with the holding expired on March 31. Mr. Gorkov will remain on the board of Rosgeologiya, reports Interfax words of the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Sergei Gorkov has headed Rosgeologiya since 2019, replacing Roman Panov. Prior to this, Mr. Radkov worked in various positions at YUKOS and Sberbank. From 2016 to 2018 he was the head of VEB.RF. It is under US and Australian sanctions.
Rosgeologia unites 63 enterprises in all federal districts of Russia. On website The company is told that it carries out all types of geological exploration, from regional studies for all types of minerals, to calculating reserves and commissioning deposits.
On April 2, Kommersant’s interlocutors familiar with the situation reported that Mr. Gorkov could resign from the post of head of Rosgeologiya at his own request.
