The Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted an offensive along the entire front, but there is no reason for panic in the LPR, said the head of the republic, Leonid Pasechnik, during the awards ceremony for the Hero of the Luhansk People’s Republic.
“The enemy has attempted an offensive along the entire front. Practically today it is located near the borders of the LPR. I want to assure everyone that there is no reason to panic. The republic lives in a regular mode, ”said Pasechnik (quote according to TASS).
According to him, units of the People’s Militia of the LPR, as well as allied forces, today guarantee the security of the borders. “I declare with confidence that the counteroffensive attempt made by the enemy will still be stopped, defeated by our troops, and we will continue to clear the territory of the DPR from Ukrainian nationalists,” he concluded.
Earlier, Andrey Marochko, a representative of the People’s Militia of the LPR, announced that the front line was approaching the borders of the republic. According to Marochko, the department, together with the allied forces, fully controls its territory, but the situation at the front is difficult, the line of contact has come very close to the borders of the LPR.
On July 3, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the release of the LPR. Now, according to him, the DPR is being released as planned. In early August, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that the Russian military, together with units of the people’s militia of the DPR and the LPR forces, managed to liberate about half of the entire territory of the republic.
