The head of the Kherson region, Saldo, warned of the risk of undermining the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station

Currently, Ukraine is gathering forces to prepare a major offensive against Kherson. The greatest risk is the possible destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP dam. This was written in his Telegram channel by the head of the administration of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo.
As the official noted, Russian troops are now preparing to repel the offensive. But hostilities can unfold on the land of the Kherson region. According to Saldo, one of the main dangers for the population is the undermining of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
If Ukrainian troops destroy the dam, and then the water from the cascade of power plants upstream of the Dnieper is dumped, entire areas could be flooded. Therefore, the authorities of the region decided to move the residents of the Berislavsky, Belozersky, Snigiryovsky and Aleksandrovsky districts of the Kherson region to the left bank of the Dnieper.
Saldo also noted that there would be no obstacles in the departure of those wishing to other regions of Russia. The government of the Russian Federation will help them with housing certificates.
