Chairman of the State Security Committee of Belarus Ivan Tertel said at a meeting with the labor collective of “Belaruskali” that the West is making attempts to open a “second front” in order to divert Russia’s resources to solve incidental problems.
As Tertel noted, given the attempts to implement such a plan, the Belarusian special services predict an aggravation of the situation in the region as a whole. According to him, in order to solve such problems, the enemy uses various kinds of tools and resources, in particular, opposition-minded citizens.
“These are people who fled abroad without completing the task on the territory of Belarus in 2020 and beyond. We know exactly who they are and for what purposes. Therefore, everything is now focused on preparing an intervention against the Republic of Belarus,” – the agency “Belta” quotes the head of the KGB of the Republic of Belarus.
Ivan Tertel also informed the meeting participants that a number of armed formations had been formed in Ukraine, which included people who, for various reasons, had gone to the territory of this state.
